Traffic Studies

We are seeking participants for a pilot project with Oxfordshire County Council to better understand how people are moving on roads and paths across Oxfordshire. By working together with volunteers and using low-cost camera based sensors, we hope to build our knowledge of how different kinds of roads and paths are used across the county. If you have an upstairs window overlooking a path or street that you are interested in knowing the number of pedestrians, cyclists, cars, and heavy vehicles that use it every day as well as the average speed of cars, we would like to hear from you; please click on ‘Apply as Candidate’ above, complete the form, and submit an image looking out from the window you would like to use. When you volunteer, Oxfordshire County Council will assess whether your property is likely to be suitable and then select the best locations to allocate the 40 sensors available for the pilot. You will be emailed to let you know the outcome of your application.
