With Telraam you can count the traffic on your street using a fully automatic counter simply by taking advantage of the view out your window. Below you can find out where Telraam networks are currently active or recruiting. There are two ways to join the Telraam counting : as an individual counter, or as part of a network.
As an individual citizen you can buy your own Telraam device and count traffic in your street on your own via the Telraam platform. Choose ‘My own Telraam’ below for more information.
Alternatively, join one of the many networks already counting or recruiting. See ‘Join a local network’ for further options.
Join a Telraam network nearby. Below you will find a list of different networks currently launching. A Telraam network is usually commissioned by a (local) government or authorioty. Networks also benefit from local training and data workshops for traffic counters. In addition, all counting data within a network is collected and analysed centrally.
Soon Telraam networks will also start in the following cities, municipalities or neighbourhoods. As soon as the call for candidates is open, you will see it appear on this page.
Many other municipalities and other initiatives have already started working with Telraam. Below is a list of municipalities and other clients who have worked with us to set up a Telraam network.
As a concerned citizen, you could also start an experiment with several Telraam devices in your own city or neighborhood. Maybe you're a group of friends, a neighbourhood committee, a school or an action group. You can start with a Telraam device and build your own counting network.
How to get started? The Telraam device can be ordered online. Before getting started, make sure you've read all the criteria and requirements for installing a Telraam device. So check carefully to ensure you can tick all the boxes. If you have questions, check out our comprehensive
FAQ & Support page, or join Telraam Talks to share experiences with other Telraam users.
It is most useful and impactful when citizens work together with local policymakers to launch a network. Citizens will get support before, during and after the installation of the Telraam device. In addition the traffic data is centrally collected and accessible for all Telraam devices of a network. This allows both policymakers and citizens to start working with the traffic data that has been gathered.
Ask your local councillors, policymakers or representatives to support a counting network in your municipality. Interested cities and municipalities can find information on the Governments page
