Rather than tracking the impact of a specific policy, Tubize needed an ongoing, low-maintenance traffic monitoring system. Their key priorities were reducing manual labor, deploying sensors flexibly, and accessing live data and ready-to-use reports to answer public inquiries more efficiently.
Telraam provided Tubize with two Telraam Outdoor devices to replace its outdated counters. The municipality now has a flexible fleet of devices that can be rotated between locations as needed and installed independently with minimal technical expertise. Thanks to Telraam’s solar-powered solution, the sensors operate autonomously without the need for battery changes or on-site maintenance. Unlike their previous system, which required frequent on-site intervention, Telraam’s automated reporting allows them to track traffic effortlessly from any location in the Telraam dashboard.
With Telraam, Tubize has simplified its traffic monitoring process. The mobility team can now access live traffic data instantly via the Telraam Network dashboard - eliminating the need for field visits, battery swaps, or manual downloads. Both live and historical data from current and past deployments are available in the dashboard, allowing for deeper analysis and long-term trend monitoring. By keeping everything centralized and easily accessible, the system streamlines decision-making and reporting. This shift reduces staff workload while improving response times to citizen concerns. Tubize’s experience highlights how Telraam Outdoor is not just for policy-driven projects but also a practical, modern alternative to traditional traffic counting tools.
